Join Chef Üma Li, Executive Chef of BentoYa, for a hands-on class exploring the art of making Japanese gyoza completely from scratch.

In this class, Chef Üma will guide you through the entire process, beginning with making your own gyoza dough from scratch. You’ll learn how to mix and work the dough, prepare a savory ground chicken filling, and fill and fold your own gyoza using traditional techniques.

Rather than pan-frying, we’ll focus on steamed gyoza, creating tender dumplings that highlight the handmade wrapper and flavorful filling.

During class, guests will enjoy samples of freshly prepared gyoza while working alongside Chef Üma. The gyoza you make during class will be packaged for you to take home and enjoy later, giving you the chance to share your handiwork or keep them all for yourself!

This class is designed to be approachable for beginners while offering plenty of technique and insight for anyone interested in Japanese cooking and handmade dumplings.
