Care Guide
- Let the grill fully cool down before cleaning.
- Remove ash from the body of the grill.
- Clean with mild soap and warm water as needed.
- Dry thoroughly before storage to prevent rust.
- Do not use harsh chemical cleaners to avoid damaging the finish.
Stainless Steel Grill Grate:
- Use a Carbon Steel Metal scrubber, chain mail, or bristle scrubber with mild dish soap.
- Towel dry after cleaning to prevent oxidation.
- Chain link scrubbers remove surface residue without scratching.
Seasoning Your Cooking Grate (Recommended but not Necessary):
- Refer to the Ignition Safety Warnings before operating your grill and never use combustible oils or fuels for that purpose.
- Evenly coat grates with a high-heat cooking oil.
- Fire up the grill and heat for 15-30 minutes.
Grill Outer Shell:
- Use a Neutral Cleaner: Stick to cleaners with a pH between 6-8 (e.g., dish soap, Bar Keepers Friend + Magic Erasers).
- Test the Cleaner: Try on a small, hidden area before applying to the whole grill.
- Use Light Abrasion If Necessary: A scrubby sponge is fine; avoid steel wool.
Grill Interior & Ash Tray:
- Wait until coals are completely extinguished before disposing of ash.
- Remove ash by dumping.
- Interior cookboxes are coated carbon steel-safe to clean with dish soap and a high-pressure rinse.
