Silk Chili Flakes, also known as the Turkish version of Aleppo pepper, were traditionally ground using thick silk ropes, giving them a unique, slippery texture. They boast a warm, tomato-like flavor and a medium level of spiciness, similar to Espelette and Korean chilis. Besides being called marash pepper, these flakes add a touch of fun to any dish, whether it's scrambled eggs, burgers, or even brownies. Our Silk Chili Flakes are perfectly preserved with a dash of salt and sunflower seed oil to maintain their freshness and distinct taste. Ideal for cooking or adding a finishing kick. These flakes are botanically identical to the Aleppo pepper, which has been grown in Syria for centuries. However, due to the ongoing conflict, true Aleppo chili is sadly no longer available for import.
