Designer Estelle Rebottaro, a professional animal painter, was inspired by the wildlife of Sologne and the hide-and-seek movements of the animals in the area. Faience earthenware made in France by Gien. Four-piece place setting includes dinner plate, dessert plate, bowl, and mug. Five-piece place setting includes dinner plate, dessert plate, canape plate, US tea cup, and saucer.
Located near the Loire Valley castles, the Faïencerie de Gien has been synonymous with prestigious faience tableware and decorative objects since its founding in 1821. Gien pieces are renowned for their warm white clays decorated with traditional motifs reminiscent of the French countryside.
